Welcome to the blog of Lighthouse Christian Homeschool!

This blog serves three purposes:

1. To have a place to 'jot down' the day to day happenings in our homeschool for our support teacher to see, in hopes that some of the things we do will fit nicely into the provincial learning outcomes.

2. To keep my family up to date on what we're 'up to'.

3. To glorify God.

So on that note, come on in!

Marshmallow Toothpick Structures

I went out and bought a big bag of marshmallows and a whole lot of toothpicks and we made Marshmallow Toothpick Bridges. It was a lot of fun and a bit of a challenge trying to make a bridge that would stand up!

On a different day we got the marshmallows and toothpicks out again. This time the challenge was to build the highest tower using a certain number of toothpicks and marshmallows. It wasn't easy, but we had fun doing it!
