Welcome to the blog of Lighthouse Christian Homeschool!

This blog serves three purposes:

1. To have a place to 'jot down' the day to day happenings in our homeschool for our support teacher to see, in hopes that some of the things we do will fit nicely into the provincial learning outcomes.

2. To keep my family up to date on what we're 'up to'.

3. To glorify God.

So on that note, come on in!

More in May

May was not just for birthdays. It was also for field trips and planting the garden and piano recitals. Here are a few photos:
Field Trip to the Cleveland Dam and Fish Hatchery

Christine at the top of the falls

Joshua at the bottom of the falls

We came on the day they were releasing the fry. Look at all those fish behind Rebecca!

Field Trip to Trinity Western University to learn about Salmon
Here Rebecca is getting a close-up look at Salmon in the first four stages.

Caleb taking notes on the water clarity of the river

Rebecca checking the habitat with a water temperature test.

Caleb spinning the Salmon 'wheel of death'!

Caleb collecting bugs, larvae and other Salmon food.

Rebecca's turn to be a bug collector

  1. Hi Natasha,

Not sure if you recall, but we met at the HCOS picnic a few weeks ago.

I just realized tonight that I've been following your blog since last November!

Crazy. Hope you and the kids are doing well. Your photos are awesome. They make me smile. :)
